Gza Digital LLC is pleased to announce a vacancy for the position of Head of Payment Support & Card Processing

About the Role

We're hiring for a partner who needs a real payments person. That means someone who sees a decline and wants to know what caused it and how to stop it from happening again, not someone who logs it and moves on. This isn't a typical support management job. It's technical and hands-on, and it suits someone who's curious about what happens inside a card transaction.

You'll run the operational side of card processing from start to finish. That means hunting down declines, lifting authorization rates, guiding corporate clients through the messy cases, and building a team that understands payments instead of reading from a script. If you like fixing real problems and building from zero, you'll feel at home.

What You'll Do

Card Processing & Detective Work

• Own the card-payment journey from checkout to settlement, including refunds and chargebacks
• Dig into live declines and failures to find the root cause, not just the symptom
• Get fluent in decline codes, issuer and acquirer behavior, 3DS, fraud controls, and routing
• Spot patterns across PSPs, acquirers, regions, and card types, then act on what you find
• Team up with Payments and outside partners to push success rates higher

Corporate Client Support

• Take on the tricky, sensitive cases that standard support can't solve
• Turn technical jargon into plain language clients can follow and care about
• Set up a clear escalation path so urgent issues get fast attention and don't sit in a queue

Knowledge, Training & Risk Teamwork

• Create a practical knowledge base on decline handling, payment flows, and escalations
• Write SOPs and troubleshooting guides people can use in the middle of a fire drill
• Train the team to know what they can fix themselves and what needs Payments or Risk
• Work with Risk to separate real processing problems from risk-driven declines

Leading the Team & Owning the Process

• Lead, coach, and grow the Payment Support team, with clear expectations and KPIs
• Hire and onboard new people as the team grows
• Step onto the front line when things get critical
• Find where AI and automation can speed things up, while keeping the human judgment that matters
• Standardize how issues are investigated and resolved, and track the numbers that show it's working

Who You Are

• You have 5+ years in payments, card processing, payment ops, or fintech more broadly
• You know acquiring, issuing, authorization, and processing from real work, not just theory
• You've investigated live declines and found fixes that stuck, not just filed tickets
• You can explain PSPs, acquirers, 3DS, fraud and risk, chargebacks, and routing to specialists and clients alike
• You've led or grown a support or payments team
• You're analytical and hands-on, and happy to dig through transaction-level data to find root causes
• You speak fluent English (more languages are a bonus)
• You take ownership by default, and urgent problems get your attention instead of a handoff
• You see AI and automation as tools that sharpen your team, not threats

What's on Offer

• A competitive salary plus performance-based bonuses
• A senior role with visible impact on payment performance and client retention
• A chance to build and reshape a growing payment support function instead of maintaining an existing one
• Direct exposure to PSPs, acquirers, and fintech partners
• Real freedom to bring in new processes, automation, and AI, because this isn't a "keep the lights on" job
