Doppelmayr South Caucasus:

Combine your electrical engineering expertise with customer service in the ropeway industry. Doppelmayr South Caucasus is looking for a technically skilled, proactive, and customer-focused Electrical Engineer / After-Sales Specialist to support customers across Georgia, Armenia, and Azerbaijan.

This role connects engineering with customer service. You will help customers maintain safe and reliable ropeway operations, coordinate technical support and spare parts supply, and develop lasting relationships with installation owners and operators.

The Role:

You will serve as a key contact for after-sales inquiries, working closely with customers, regional colleagues, and Doppelmayr`s technical specialists. Your responsibilities will cover installation inspections, electrical troubleshooting, maintenance recommendations, spare parts coordination, and service proposals.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Support and Installation Inspections:

• Conduct periodic inspections of installed ropeway systems, with particular attention to electrical equipment, control systems, and maintenance needs.
• Prepare clear inspection reports documenting findings, recommended actions, and priorities for follow-up.
• Support the diagnosis of electrical and control-system faults, coordinating complex cases with Doppelmayr`s technical specialists.
• Help customers interpret technical documentation, electrical drawings, and maintenance instructions.
• Support customers in planning preventive maintenance and preparing installations for seasonal operation.
• Perform technical work within the scope of your training and authorisation, following applicable safety procedures and manufacturer instructions.

Spare Parts and Order Management:

• Identify customers` spare parts requirements and verify part numbers, technical specifications, revisions, and compatibility.
• Prepare accurate quotations and service proposals, clearly communicating prices, lead times, and delivery conditions.
• Manage orders from initial inquiry through purchasing, shipment, delivery, and customer follow-up.
• Monitor stock availability and outstanding orders, coordinating with suppliers and colleagues to resolve delays.
• Assist with shipping, receiving, and the documentation required for spare parts deliveries.
• Help customers identify critical spare parts and plan appropriate stock levels to minimise downtime.

Customer Relationships and Service Development:

• Maintain regular contact with installation owners, operators, and maintenance teams.
• Take ownership of customer requests, provide timely updates, and coordinate issues through to resolution.
• Identify needs for maintenance support, replacement components, upgrades, and additional services.
• Coordinate warranty inquiries and technical claims with the relevant departments.
• Support customer familiarisation and technical guidance within your area of competence.
• Contribute to the growth of the after-sales business through practical recommendations and responsive service.

Documentation and Coordination:

• Maintain accurate records of inspections, technical inquiries, quotations, orders, and service activities.
• Track outstanding actions and prioritise work according to operational urgency and customer needs.
• Share recurring technical issues and customer feedback with the appropriate teams.
• Contribute to improving after-sales procedures, response times, and service quality.

Qualifications and Experience:

Essential:

• Bachelor`s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
• Three to five years of relevant experience in electrical maintenance, industrial automation, technical support, field service, or after-sales activities involving technical equipment.
• Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.
• Sound understanding of electrical equipment, control circuits, sensors, and systematic fault diagnosis.
• Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage several customer requests and orders simultaneously.
• Clear communication skills and the ability to explain technical matters to different audiences.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel, Word, and Outlook, and the ability to learn company databases and order-management systems.
• A responsible, detail-oriented approach, with a strong commitment to safety and customer service.
• Willingness to undertake an extended technical training programme and travel within the region.
• Flexibility to work outside normal working hours when operational needs require it.

An Advantage:

• Experience with ropeways, industrial machinery, or other electromechanical installations.
• Familiarity with PLC-based control systems, variable-frequency drives, and industrial communication systems.
• Experience in spare parts identification, technical quotations, inventory management, or international logistics.
• Experience working directly with customers and coordinating with international technical teams.

Language Requirements:

• Georgian: Native proficiency.
• English: Professional working proficiency, including the ability to understand technical documentation and communicate with international colleagues.
• Russian: Professional working proficiency.
• German: An advantage.
